Weekly Report 4

This week, I have implemented delete property of assignment module. This property deletes files from server and local of Yaver and don’t show them on GUI. Moreover I try to detect amount of light using RGB values. Initially, Yaver takes a snapshot and calculate RGB values and draw a histogram by using them. Then if right movement on histogram exists, then we can say that “Amount of light is increased”. Similarly if newly calculated histogram has a left movement with respect to the initial histogram, then we can say “amount of light decreased”.

In this week, I’ve implemented the remaining part of the filtering window. There are three tabs in this window; they are toolbar, assignment and messages. Toolbar part has already been completed. I have added buttons and entities of messages and assignment with checkboxes like toolbar part. I also set all checkboxes in stationary mode to selected, since they should be seen in this mode.

This week I'm going to implement the “sent messages” part of the Yaver. This will take my time for this week, but if I have extra time I'll look for GUI parts as well.

After the snapshot demo which is carried out on Friday, we did some work sharing and I am assigned to deal with relocating our project which is on Dropbox to SVN. I did some research about using SVN in an easy way instead of using commands on terminal due to fact that it is relatively harder. I decided to learn use of application TortoiseSVN and tried to learn using it. I will implement it in a short notice and give information about it to my group friends. I also tried to do some changes over the GUI, but I did not submit it because I thought it will be better doing it after the SVN installation in order to everyone literally sees my changes.
