Oyun Diyarı

Oyun Diyarı is an educational game for preschoolers, developed by the team VisionImpossible. It offers both cognitive and physical development for the players. The intended audience of the game is the children from ages between 4 and 6.

Oyun Diyarı

Games have always been used to improve children’s skills, since they have been very attractive for every child especially for the preschoolers. However, in today’s world, computers are becoming kindergarten of children since the attractiveness of video games increased sharply with the advances in video games industry in few years. This leads to a generation with high possibility of being obese, and experiencing physical and intellectual disabilities, which is due to the lack of movement in front of the computers, and educational content in the video games.

Psychologists and early childhood educators are the people who have been attacking the problem. Their approach is based on keeping the children away from the computers, and mobile devices. Even though it seems as a good solution in theory, it fails most of the time since the video games are too attractive to them. At this point we are, the team VisionImpossible, involved in the solution. We offer a game that will help early childhood education along with physical development. The game includes all of the educational content that a preschooler should learn. The physical development is ensured thanks to natural interaction. We are working with preschooler educator Aysun Uğurtay Üstünel, developmental psychologist Asst. Prof. Dr. Başak Şahin Acar. The project is sponsored by Infodif and mentored by Kerem Çalışkan.
