MobileLibrary project is an android application which is designed for METU Library users. Purpose of this project is giving users an opportunity to access METU Library through their mobile devices. In other words, this project makes a bridge between METU Library and its users by enabling them accessing necessary, reliable, and global information and knowledge for research and education activities of METU, and larger public through up-to-date resources, facilities and techniques which are provided by METU Library.

 

 

Features According To Users

Guest Users

These are the users who do not have a METU account. By using our application guest users can

   * search millions of articles, e-books and digital collections, printed books and journals in all disciplines.

     * view the announcements about METU Library

     * view locations of materials in the METU Library building

     * view the situation of the carells(study rooms in METU Library Building)

METU Members

  In addition to guest features, METU Members can

* pay their library debt by using their credit cards or PayPal account

* make recommendations for METU Library

* extend the deadline of the borrowed materials

* make self-checkout by scanning the barcode of the materials with their mobile devices
