Home Scene

This is where you take the first step of your political career.

Create Character

In this step, you determine what your name is and how your face looks like.

Country Selection

There are 10 different available countries in which each of them has various attributes, advantages and weaknesses.

Party Selection

There are 6 parties in a country. Each of them has different ideals and thoughts about politics. This view leads the leaders of the parties see different demand priorities of the same public.

Main Screen of The President

UserIn the upper left corner, you can see your character's name, avatar, country, party and party's current vote rate.
RulingFrom the bottom left part, you can open other scenes to manage your country. An opposition leader can't reach tax and diplomacy scenes.
InfoOn the top side, there are various informations such as your country's budget & income, your party's budget & law proposal credits and public hapiness.
NewsFrom the middle of the screen, you can keep track of the latest news about your country.
Next TurnFrom the bottom right corner button, you can advance to the next turn. You can also see how much turns left to the next election.

Investments of Your Country

There are 10 different investment areas. The Player can see only the ratio of public demand over the current level of each investment type. The public demand here is affected by party's ideals and current vote rate.

Changing Investment Levels

By clicking any ratio, you can open a pop-up screen from which you can either increase or decrease investment levels. You can see cost of the increasing and other parties' supports about it here.

IncreaseIf you press the increase button, a law proposal by your party to increase the invests for that area will be proposed.
DecreaseOnly The Government, ie The President, can decrease levels. The half of the cost of increasing that 1 particular level will be added to the country budget.

Diplomacy

Target CountryYou can see here information about other countries for foreign diplomacy. With these, you can decide whether or not you should declare a war for example.
ActionsThere are 3 things you can do: Declaring a war, Demanding a Tribute or Improving Relations by giving some money.

Making a War

If you declare a war to a country, you cannot make any diplomatic action during the war, ie 1 turn. You can only listen to the voices of war here.

Demanding a Tribute

From here, you can decide how much money you want and for how many turns.

Improving Relations

You can send some money for some turns to other countries in order to avoid being declared war by keeping relations good.

Tax Issues

IncreaseIf you increase the tax rate, you would increase the turn based income, but decrease the public happiness which can cause protests against you and may force you to go early election.
DecreaseIf you decrease the tax rate, you would increase the happiness of your people, but you would decrease the income of your country which prevent you from making investments.
Public HappinessYou can see the dynamic change in the public happiness from this simulation. So, you can decide more easily.
Protest ProbabilityYou can see the dynamic change in the protest probability from this simulation, which allows you to decide more easily.

I you don't press the Done Button, all the changes you made won't be applied.

Saving a Game

When you first create a new game, or when you decide to make a break before coming back to play again, the game will be saved with a unique name which consist of your username, your country's name and the current turn. You can also change this name if you want a specific one to recall more easily.

Loading a Game

Now you decided to continue to play your game again, and what should be the next step? From the Home Scene, you can select the Load Button. Then, you should choose the game you want to continue among the saved games list and press the Load Button. Well done!

Protest

If you don't manage your country well enough, the public will be unhappy about your government. When the protests start, you would have only 2 options:

Giving BribeYou can oppress the protests for a while if you have the money to give some officials and media. But the public would remain unhappy which may easily cause another protest soon.
Early ElectionIf you don't have enough money to oppress the protesters or if you trust you can won an early election, here is that option.

Crises

There are various crisis types to make your job more difficult:

Random Crises:Earthquake, meteor rain etc. You cannot avoid these type of crises. Some of your investments is going to be damaged and your public would be unhappy.
Avoidable Crises:Famine, pleague etc. You can avoid them by improving related investment areas. These can decrease public happiness sharply, thus can cause protests.

Settings

You can turn on/off music and sounds from this screen at the beginning.

You can also reach settings during playing via a pop-up by pressing the gear button from the top right corner of the main screen.

We are a group of 4th grade computer engineering students in the Middle East Technical University, Turkey and have created this game as our graduation project. We all are interested in mobile games and applications, thus our desire for career is this area of magnificence. We want the whole world to hear the name X-Craft and to play our games.
