WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?
Agricultural areas are losing popularity and the number of people working on this area is decreasing. On the other hand, world population increases each day and reaching fresh vegetables and fruits for all seasons is essential for human health.
WHAT IS OUR SOLUTION?
Our solution is to enhance the greenhouses by making them autonomous. We believe that we will be able to increase productivity and decrease human effort by this way. Our goal is to make greenhouses more common and to supply fresh vegetables and fruits for all seasons in lower costs.
Our target is not restricted with the commercial greenhouses, we also target the hobby greenhouses. This system can be scaled into any size of greenhouse.
Features
Mobile Application
The mobile application shows the current situation of the greenhouse. The user do not have to go to the greenhouse every day to check his/her greenhouse. S/he can check it just by looking at the app. It is that easy.
The mobile application alerts the user in case of a breakdown. The user can notice the problem immediately and save his/her greenhouse.
The user can select which plant s/he wants to grow. The mobile app provides the optimum growing conditions for selected plant to maximize the productivity. There is a library about optimum growing conditions for various plants. Anyone can be a greenhouse owner, even they do not know anything about agriculture.
Autonomous Management
All the systems in the greenhouse are managed autonomously. The user do not have to do anything other than harvest.
Internet of Things
All the components communicate wirelessly in order to avoid physical deformation of cables. The systems and the sensors communicate through ZigBee protocol, and the main control unit communicates with outside of the greenhouse through WiFi.
Cloud Computing
Collected data about the greenhouse environment is stored in the cloud. It is easy to use, easy to maintain and always accessible.
Machine Learning
Machine learning techniques are applied to make the greenhouse environment more stable. Stored data in the cloud is used for creating a model. According to this model, future environmental conditions are predicted and fluctuations are reduced. Plants are sensitive to sudden changes, stability of environment is important for productivity.
