We worked on creating installation tool for our project last week. We faced with some bugs while including dependencies of the project. We'll fix them during this week. We didn't prepare user manual yet since it’s not announced yet.

During the past week, our duty was determining the attributes which will change with dynamic user interface in different movement states as default. To determine these, we decided to give priorities to every attribute of window sections of program (MainMap, Assignments and Messaging Section). Therefore; we decided to delete more attributes and increase font sizes of texts more when user is more moving according to their priority and importance which we decided by thinking about situations about a military team leader can be in.. In addition to this, we tried to finish unfinished jobs which are left from previous week.

Last week, we implemented an algorithm to detect camera motion. During test process, the algorithm has failed in some cases. This week, we try to minimize these fails experimentally. Altering threshold values and changing meshes on scene we get better results. Now we can detect camera motions with ignorable faults. Moreover, this week we have presenta...

Last week, we integrated movement handling properties to main project. We had implemented it as a separate project and tested individually. Moreover, we have developed an algorithm to detect movement of camera instead of movement of objects. An article (“Detecting Camera Movements & Production Effects in Digital Videos”) has enlightene...

Last week, we detected motion of objects, but not motion of user. In this week, before detecting state of user exactly, we tried to detect light of environment. We are planning to determine whether environment is dark or bright by RGB values of image. We have constructed a histogram that shows RGB values versus number of corresponding value. We say that ambient is dark if the peak of curve is in low values. Otherwise it is bright. For now, we developed the detecting light proc...

In this week we have worked together. We began to study detection of motion. We tried to implement the Bag-of-Visual method that we analyzed during literature survey. However, to detect the motion exactly is a difficult operation. Our attempts were not enough to get a complete solution for this problem. We will continue this process next weeks. ...

This week, I have implemented delete property of assignment module. This property deletes files from server and local of Yaver and don’t show them on GUI. Moreover I try to detect amount of light using RGB values. Initially, Yaver takes a snapshot and calculate RGB values and draw a histogram by using them. Then if right movement on histogram exists, then we ...

During this week I studied on assignment module again. Command center (Yaver Listener) loads assignment-related values to server. Then, Yaver’s assignment module, takes them with SSH commands (Previous week, I mentioned that we use our department accounts as server and thus I implement a SSH layer to send and receive commands and files). Moreover I added a feature that ...

Last week, I searched about enhancing graphical user-interfaces designed with Java Swing. General name for the process is changing the look and feel of applications, where look refers to appearance of Jcomponents and feel refers to behaviour of these components. We have several options such as using swing.plaf.gtk.GTKLookAndFeel, swing.plaf.motif.MotifLookAndFeel, swing.plaf.windows.WindowsLookAndFeel. Also nimbus look and feel and plastic look and feel are some of the op...

This week, I read some papers about how user-friendliness of graphical user interfaces can be increased. I also searched about implementation details of how smooth transitions between states of environmental conditions(for instance light) can be accomplished without losing user-control.
